Lillington Family Medical Center is a two-physician rural family practice located in central Harnett County right off of Hwy. 421 between Sanford and Dunn. We have proudly served this community since 1987 and look forward to continuing our services to the residents of Lillington and the surrounding areas into the distant future. Providers John L. Briggs, MD and Jessica M. Sloan, MD, along with the clinical and clerical staff, make it our mission to provide excellent patient-centered care to all of our patients.
|John L. Briggs, MD Diplomate AAFP
Dr. Briggs is a graduate of University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. He came to Harnett County in August 1984 as a member of the Western Medical Group in Mamers. He moved to Lillington and established the Lillington Family Medical Center in February 1987. He is Board Certified in Family Practice. Professionally, Dr. Briggs is interested in public health and serves as Medical Director of the Harnett County Health Department. He is certified as a Medical Review officer. His interests are photography, hunting/fishing, hiking and gardening.
|Jessica M. Sloan, MD
Dr. Jessica Sloan is a native of North Carolina, born and raised in Charlotte. She went to college at Appalachian State University, where she earned a BS in Environmental Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She also studied Vocal Performance. She met her husband, Don Sloan, at ASU. They married in 2002 and she became a Harnett County girl. She went to medical school at UNC Chapel Hill and then completed her three-year Family Medicine residency in Fayetteville at Duke/SR-AHEC. While Dr. Sloan was studying medicine at UNC, her husband Don earned his degree in Dentistry. He practices at Sloan and Sloan Family Dentistry in Broadway.
Dr. Sloan joined Dr. Briggs at Lillington Family Medical in January of 2015. She and her husband have three small children, Samantha, Micah, and Caius. Dr. Sloan is active at her church, where she teaches AWANA, directs the Children’s Choir, and sings in the adult choir. She also leads a Girl Scout troop. In between these activities, she does a lot of laundry.

Stacey is our Project Manager and manages Clinical Quality Reporting to various insurance companies and government agencies. She is currently enrolled at CCCC pursuing a degree in Health Information Technology. When away from the office (and not doing homework), she enjoys working in the yard, spending time with her boyfriend and two sons. She enjoys being outdoors, camping, and riding her four-wheeler.

The face behind the voice of prescriptions and referrals, Donna has lived in Harnett County all of her life. She worked as a head pharmacy tech for over 20 years. Donna has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 30 years and has a beautiful daughter. She loves riding her motorcycle and helping others through the motorcycle brotherhood.
Receptionist Front Office Staff
Amber is the first smiling face you will see as you walk through our front door. She is our receptionist and also a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. Amber has a passion to help patients to achieve all of their needs and assist with anything she can. Married in 2013, her husband Dustin is the love of her life and an answered prayer from God. When at home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and doing stuff around the house; family vacations are her favorite. On the weekends she spends her time with family relaxing and at church.
